In addition, neem oil is a powerful antibacterial and antiviral agent and as such, allows you to protect yourself from harmful diseases as well.

  1. Tulsi

Tulsi’s benefits in terms of repelling mosquitoes is not only a proven experience but it is also a scientifically validated fact. According to a research published in the Parasitology Research Journal, Tulsi effectively kills mosquito larvae.

All you need to do is place a Tulsi plant outside or near your window to prevent mosquitoes coming in. You can, in fact, grow Tulsi plants in your backyard for maximum effect.

Camphor is a highly potent material that wards off not just mosquitoes, but also any sort of insects very effectively. Furthermore, the effects of camphor are long-lasting which means you do not have keep replacing it every time.

The strong aroma of camphor efficiently blocks out most insects. You may also light them and keep them in a closed room for a while. You may then enter the room which would be completely free of any kind of mosquitoes.

Eucalyptus and lemon oil have both been established as effective agents against repelling mosquitoes. In fact, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends using them as the primary repellent against various insects.

Cineole, which is found in eucalyptus and lemon oil, is what repels mosquitoes and has anti-septic capabilities as well.

All you need to do is mix eucalyptus and lemon oil in equal proportions and apply them to the exposed parts of your skin.

Another home-made solution to get rid of mosquitoes is to use tea tree oil. Not only does it protect you from harmful mosquito bites, but also provides great benefit to your skin and hair along with being a strong anti-bacterial agent.

You may rub the oil on your skin or simply spread the scent of tea tree oil through vaporizing it in your house.
